Are You Raising An Introvert?
by darth frosty inits not easy being an introvert in an extrovert worldespecially when youre a kid.
it is even more difficult if none of the adults in the kids life recognize that the child is an introvert.
this doesnt happen only when the childs parents are extroverts, but also with introverted parents who have never understood their own introverted nature.. .

WASHINGTON (CNN) – The White House released copies of President Barack Obama's original long-form birth certificate Wednesday, seeking to put an end to persistent rumors that he was not born in theUnited States.
"We do not have time for this kind of silliness," Obama told reporters at the White House.

"Normally I would not comment on something like this," the president said. But the country has "enormous challenges" that it will not be able to effectively meet "if we're distracted."
The president ripped what he characterized as a recent focus on "side shows" and "carnival barkers."
Obama released a shorter, legally binding "certificate of live birth" in 2008, but many opponents of the president continued to assert he was born overseas.
The administration had to make a special request from the state ofHawaiito get the long-form birth certificate released, White House legal counsel Bob Bauer said. Typically, the state only releases what's called a certificate of live birth when people request a birth certificate.
While the president has tried to make light of the controversy, the question has remained political red meat for some of his critics. A recent CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll showed that nearly 75% of Americans believe Obama was definitely or probably born in theUnited States. More than four in 10 Republicans, however, believe he probably or definitely was not born inAmerica.
The U.S. Constitution says only "natural born" citizens can become president - a vague clause that some members of the "birther" movement contend disqualifies Obama from the presidency, since they believe he was born overseas.
"The president believed the distraction over his birth certificate wasn't good for the country," White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer said. "It may have been good politics and good (television), but it was bad for the American people and distracting from the many challenges we face as a country.
"At a time of great consequence for this country - when we should be debating how we win the future, reduce our deficit, deal with high gas prices, and bring stability to the Middle East,Washington,D.C., was once again distracted by a fake issue," Pfeiffer said. "The president's hope is that with this step, we can move on to debating the bigger issues that matter to the American people and the future of the country."
Pfeiffer told reporters that the so-called "birther debate" has been politically damaging to the Republican Party.
Skeptics contend, among other things, that Obama was born in his father's home country ofKenya. Potential GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump recently seized on the issue, saying he had doubts about Obama's background.
CNN investigation: Obama born in the U.S.
Following the White House's release of the long-form birth certificate, Trump told reporters in New Hampshire Wednesday morning that he is "very proud" of himself for helping to bring about the release of the document.
"I've accomplished something nobody else was able to accomplish," Trump said. "I'd want to look at (the birth certificate), but I hope it's true so that we can get on to much more important matters."
Obama "should have (released the certificate) a long, long time ago," he said.
Trump, a billionaire business tycoon and reality television star, blamed the media for repeatedly bringing up the issue. Trump, however, has frequently raised questions about Obama's birthplace during his climb in recent GOP primary polls.
Allegations that Obama was not born in theUnited Stateshave been repeatedly discredited. A recent CNN investigation turned up no evidence to support the birther claims.

Intense progpaganda and intellectual dishonesty at its finest! Always hated these over-the-top exaggerated assaults on your intelligence. Like another poster said, the actions of this woman in the story and of those we've heard for years is irresponsible at the least, flat out retarded at worst.

The WTS will regret this. Instead of taking such an arrogant, dictatorial, dogmatic approach, they should try to understand WHY there are so many apostates. Most so-called "Apostates" have been people who have been HURT by members and policies of the WTS. If they were really of GOD, that would be their approach, but like with most cults its about control - hence this ignorant, arrogant fear-mongering.

June 15th WT - WT Society Pressures JW Parents to Indoctrinate Children
by flipper inin a non-study article in the jw only watchtower is an article titled " should youths get baptized ?
" the wt society is losing young people in very large numbers - so how else to try stemming the exodus than putting pressure on jw parents to indoctrinate and instill mind control into their children ?
in one section here in this article it almost sounds like a version of " 20 questions " that the wt society asks parents to determine if their children are making " spiritual progress " as they phrase it.

As someone who was dipped in my early teens, this article sickens me. But at the same time I'm happy in that it does seem that young people are leaving the cult in droves. And its so obvious the cult-like manner that these questions are asked:
"2. Is he willing to share the good news with others, or do you have to give him STRONG encouragement to go out in field service and talk at doors? "
Now WHY should a child be getting strong encouragement to knock at doors? Maybe if the WBTS embraced technology and used that and new media as a primary way to try and reach new followers, maybe that would at least have some appeal. Having a kid knock on doors to either get no one at home or someone irritated that they are being bothered is so unnatural. Why are doors still being knocked on in 2011 the age of the internet and new media?

How could Jesus be ruling the world since 1914 yet Satan is the ruler of the world?
by yadda yadda 2 injuly 2011 awake (p.5) says: the ruler of this world.
the bible states: the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.
(john 12:31; 1 john 5:19) that wicked one is satan the devil, a powerful spirit creature who is described as the ruler of the authority of the air.

Can we just go on and admit the extremely flawed logic in this WHOLE doctrine. The whole point of rulership (in addition to governing) is to be recognized as such. Either you're ruling or you aren't. The idea that while Satan controls everything while jesus is ruling in the midst of his enemies with the only evidence of his rulership being a poorly executed and archaic door-to-door marketing campaign is LUDICROUS.
Jesus is ruling, but its an INVISIBLE rulership. Think about that - an INVISIBLE rulership. That's retarded! I might as well say I'm ruling - you just can't see it yet. The WTBS have run out of ideas with this one and the closer we get to 2014 which marks 100 years of kingdom rule, the more ridiculous this sounds. What has this rulership accomplished? If we apply just a smattering of thought and logic to this, we should see that either Jesus needs to be impeached due to not accomplishing NONE of his campaign platform or the idea needs to be expunged from JW dogma/doctrine due to its OBVIOUS inaccuracy.

Issuing a challenge to Jehvoah's Witnesses everywhere
by Terry innow is the time (to quote an old kingdom song)..... to challenge jw's everywhere who are pointing to the "difficult times hard to deal with" in the news around the world.
and declaring armageddon is absolutely, positively nigh.. for one thing, they always point to something somewhere, don't they?.
and whatever it is---absolutely means time is short.. but, it is the usual nonsense, bullshit, poppycock over-statement, exaggeration and hype.. call them on it this time!.

I had a heated convo with my mother who is still a dyed in the wool JW pioneer about the last days and she was going on how these are indeed the last days. I went into detail about how there have ALWAYS been natural disasters, wars, etc. And she goes into the biggest thing about the last days that has impacted her is how natural love and affection have gotten cooler in the time she has been alive and how people were more affectionate and loving back in the day and that things have gotten considerably worse in that vein today. She also said that living in those times were better than living in these last days.
I then asked her if things were THAT good in the past, please explain to me the slavery of the 1700 and 1800s where african americans had no rights, brought to this country against their will, treated as animals, existed in often deplorable conditions. I stated if WE (me and my mother) were alive back in that time, we would be slaves. How could that possibly be better than today?
She didn't have an answer other than to say that people had manners back then and would have been more respectful. It's incredible what a cult can do to logic and reasoning abilities, ain't it?
